It Started in a Glass Shop in 1996
Abdullah got his start in 1996 in his family’s glass business. He measured openings, cut and handled glass, and learned how tight the tolerances are.
Glass is hard to learn on. You cannot shim it or trim it on site. If the opening is measured wrong or the wall is out of square, the panel does not fit. That early training in precision still guides every enclosure we install.
Over time he worked every role in the business: fabrication, installation, estimating, scheduling, and client service.
Built on 25+ Years of Remodeling Work
Before settling in Chicago, Abdullah ran projects in Orlando and San Diego. In 2000 he founded AMG Proline, a kitchen and bathroom remodeling company based in Crestwood, IL.
In 2020 he brought the family trade back by founding AMG Glass and Shower Doors Inc. Today the glass team fabricates and installs the enclosures that finish AMG Proline bathroom projects. It also serves homeowners, contractors, and businesses directly.
Why Our Glass Fits Right
Most glass problems come from bad measurements or rushed installs. We avoid both.
- We measure after the tile is set, not before.
- We fabricate in our own shop, not through an outside vendor.
- Our installers answer to the owner.
- We check that your walls are plumb and square before we order glass.
The result is a door that swings clean, seals tight, and looks right for years.
Recognition
In January 2025, Abdullah was inducted into the Marquis Who’s Who biographical registry. Marquis also featured him on the cover of Millennium Magazine, Seventeenth Edition, in the Architecture, Construction and Real Estate section.
