Glass Contracting for Chicago Builders and Remodelers
We provide glass contracting services to builders, remodelers, designers, and property managers across Chicago. Shower enclosures, mirrors, partitions, railings, and storefront glass, fabricated and installed as a subcontracted trade on your project.
Glass is the only trade we work in. That is deliberate. We are not a general contractor bidding glass as one line among fifteen, and we are not a supplier handing you a box and wishing you luck. We template, fabricate, and install with our own crew.
For a GC, that means one number to call and one company holding the schedule.

Our Glass Contracting Scope
We handle the full glass scope on residential and commercial projects throughout Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, from single-bath remodels to multi-unit and buildout work.
Sequencing Glass on a Remodel
Glass is near the end of the sequence, which puts it in a bad spot. By the time we are called, the schedule has usually already absorbed delays from earlier trades, and the client is asking when they can use the bathroom.
The way we protect your timeline is by being honest about lead time up front and templating at the right moment. We measure after tile and grout are complete, because that is when the opening becomes real. Templating early off framing dimensions produces glass that does not fit the finished space, and then you are waiting on a refabrication.
Why GCs Bring Us In Rather Than Sourcing Glass
Plenty of remodelers handle glass themselves by ordering a semi-custom enclosure and having a carpenter set it. On a square opening with forgiving tolerances that works fine.
It stops working on the jobs that pay. Neo-angle corners, steam enclosures, half-inch frameless panels, oversized mirrors, anything where the walls have moved. Tempered glass cannot be cut, drilled, or trimmed after fabrication, so a panel that comes in wrong is not a punch-list item, it is a reorder and a schedule hit. And when a heavy frameless panel is anchored into drywall instead of blocking, the failure shows up months later, on your warranty.
Bringing in a glass trade moves that risk off your project. We carry the measurement, the fabrication, and the install, which means we carry the consequence if the fit is wrong.
Working With Designers and Property Managers
Not every trade partner is a GC.
Interior designers bring us in when a spec needs to survive contact with an actual room, and we will tell you honestly whether the mirror size on the drawing clears the sconce or whether the frameless configuration works against the wall conditions on site. We are happy to be the reality check before the client sees a rendering they cannot have.
Property managers and building owners call us for turnover work, unit-by-unit mirror and enclosure replacement, and repairs across a portfolio. That work has its own rhythm, since access, elevator scheduling, and tenant coordination matter as much as the glass. We are set up for it, including buildings where units are nominally identical and measure differently floor to floor.
Pricing on Contracted Glass Scopes
We bid glass scopes per project rather than off a rate card, because the variables that drive cost are project-specific: glass type and thickness, panel count and size, hardware specification, code requirements on railing and commercial work, site access, and whether installation needs off-hours scheduling. For repeat and multi-unit work we can quote the scope as a package once we have measured a representative unit, with the understanding that individual openings still get templated. Send us plans or specs for a preliminary number, and we will confirm it with an on-site visit before anything goes to fabrication.
How We Work With Your Team
Send us the scope, plans, or a set of specs and we will give you a preliminary number to work with. When the project is live, we come out to template at the right point in your sequence, usually after tile and grout on bath work, after framing and flooring on partitions and railings.
Fabrication runs to the templated dimensions. We schedule install around your other trades, do the work with our own crew, and haul the debris. If something needs adjustment afterward, you call us directly, not a supplier who will point you back at the installer.
