Because custom glass is made-to-order, such purchases are generally non-refundable once fabrication begins.

4. Measurement Responsibility

When Glass & Shower Doors performs final measurements, we are responsible for fabrication sizing based on those measurements.

If a customer, contractor, architect, or third party supplies measurements:

  • Accuracy becomes the customer’s responsibility
  • We are not liable for remanufacturing costs caused by inaccurate measurements

Customers should ensure all walls, tile, flooring, and surrounding surfaces are fully completed before final measurements.

5. Installation Requirements

Before installation, customers must ensure:

  • Work areas are accessible and clear
  • Plumbing, tile, and surrounding finishes are complete
  • Installation surfaces are structurally suitable
  • Children and pets are kept away from work areas

Delays caused by incomplete job sites may result in rescheduling fees or additional labor charges.

6. Payment Terms

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • A deposit may be required before fabrication begins
  • Remaining balance is due upon completion of installation

8. Product Characteristics and Glass Tolerances

Glass is a manufactured product and may naturally contain minor variations such as:

  • Small bubbles
  • Distortion
  • Light scratches within industry tolerance
  • Tempering marks
  • Slight edge irregularities

These characteristics are generally considered normal and not defects.

Measurements may vary within standard fabrication tolerances. Small gaps in shower enclosures are also normal and necessary for proper operation.

9. Water Resistance Disclaimer

Shower enclosures are designed to reduce and redirect water, not create a fully waterproof seal.

Customers acknowledge that:

  • Minor water leakage may occur
  • Shower head direction affects water containment
  • Improper floor slope or drainage can cause leakage

Glass & Shower Doors is not responsible for water damage caused by improper bathroom construction, plumbing issues, or misuse.

10. Warranty

We warrant our installation workmanship against defects for 1 year from installation date, unless otherwise stated in writing.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Water spots or mineral buildup
  • Seal deterioration
  • Damage from misuse, abuse, accidents, or improper cleaning
  • Damage caused by third-party modifications

Manufacturer warranties on hardware or materials may vary.

Customers should follow proper cleaning and maintenance guidelines to preserve product longevity.

11. Cleaning and Maintenance

Customers should avoid:

  • Abrasive cleaners

Recommended maintenance includes:

  • Squeegee use after showers

Failure to properly maintain products may void warranty coverage.
