In newly built and fully renovated homes, the walls are true and the constraint becomes scale. Those are three or four separately templated pieces that all have to meet correctly. Bigger openings also need thicker glass, and a half-inch panel of real size weighs well over a hundred pounds, all of it landing on a few hinges.

Double vanities in renovated primary baths here often run seven or eight feet wide, and no stock mirror covers that span. We cut mirrors to the actual wall, working around sconces, outlets, backsplash height, and any tile edge. Where a single sheet would be impractical to move or mount, we seam it and show you where the seams land before anything is fabricated.

We also cut mirrors for dressing rooms and home gyms, and install interior glass partitions where a home office needs separation without giving up daylight. The method does not change: measure the wall, plan the mounting, cut to fit.

Custom shower doors start at $999, though many Hinsdale projects land above that because of the configurations involved. Glass thickness is a major driver, since larger panels require half-inch glass rather than three-eighths. Panel count matters just as much, as a walk-in with a fixed panel, a door, and a return is three fabricated pieces rather than one. Steam enclosures cost more because of the transom, the full-height run, and the sealed perimeter. Hardware finish and edgework add to it, and oversized mirrors are priced by square footage and edge treatment. You get one firm written number after the on-site template.
